(March 18th, Monthey, CH) - DePoly has reached a significant milestone in its growth journey with the award of a European Innovation Council (EIC) Accelerator Grant. The recognition underscores the potential of DePoly’s breakthrough recycling technology and supports the company’s next phase of industrial scale-up and commercialization.
DePoly has been selected as a recipient of the European Innovation Council (EIC) Accelerator Grant, one of Europe’s most competitive funding programs supporting breakthrough technologies with the potential to create significant industrial and societal impact.
The recognition comes at a pivotal moment in DePoly’s growth journey as the company transitions from technology validation to industrial deployment. In the latest funding round, 61 companies from 17 European and associated countries were selected, reflecting the EIC’s commitment to accelerating innovations that address critical global challenges.
The EIC Accelerator support will strengthen DePoly’s roadmap toward commercial scale, helping accelerate the industrialization of its proprietary depolymerization technology. Building on the launch of its showcase plant in Monthey, Switzerland, DePoly is advancing toward its first commercial-scale facility, bringing the vision of truly circular plastics closer to reality. DePoly’s technology enables PET plastics and polyester waste to be converted back into virgin-quality raw materials, creating a sustainable alternative to fossil-based production and helping divert valuable resources from landfills and incineration.
“This recognition validates both the strength of our technology and the dedication of our team,” said Samantha Anderson, CEO and Co-founder of DePoly. “Scaling breakthrough climate technologies requires scientific excellence, industrial execution, and strong partnerships. The EIC Accelerator provides valuable support as we continue building the infrastructure needed to redefine plastic circularity at scale.”
The award also highlights the growing role of female leadership within Europe’s innovation ecosystem. Led by CEO Samantha Anderson, DePoly is proud to contribute to a new generation of deep-tech companies transforming scientific breakthroughs into industrial solutions with global impact.
As DePoly continues to scale its operations, the company remains focused on its mission: enabling a world where plastic waste is no longer waste, but a valuable resource continuously returned to the economy through true circularity.
