DePoly is seeking an analytically minded, technical expert to join our team as a Technical Sales Application Development Manager to grow adoption of our rPTA & rMEG products. You will be a key link between our proprietary recycling technology and the polymer industry. Your mission is to accelerate our global market entry by working directly with specialty polymerizers and end-customers to successfully commercialise the DePoly technology. This role requires a blend of technical literacy and a proactive, sales-driven mindset to translate technical performance into commercial success.
Technical Pipeline Development: Analyze and grow adoption of our rMEG/rTPA products within current polymer production streams. Identify and support key markets where our products can displace incumbent materials, conducting high-level technical outreach to initiate trials, through to completion of technical qualification processes.
Technical Sales & Offtake: Actively pitch DePoly’s value proposition to customers, focusing on material specs, drop-in compatibility, and process performance. Manage the sales funnel from inception to execution of long-term offtake agreements.
Polymerizer Integration: Work closely with technical teams at partner facilities. Act as a technical advisor who understands the nuances of the polymerization process, helping customers optimize their production lines to utilize our recycled products effectively.
Validation & Project Execution: Serve as the internal bridge between commercial goals and technical realities. Coordinate complex validation projects and material trials, ensuring that product performance milestones meet technical demands of polymer manufacturers.
Strategic Reporting: Provide data-driven insights on market trends, competitive technical benchmarking, and internal project timelines to support executive decision-making.
Education: Graduate degree in Chemical/Process/Industrial Engineering or equivalent - ideally 5+ years of experience in an industrial and manufacturing setting exposed to large scale chemical production.
Technical Sales Experience: Proven experience in the chemical or plastics industry, specifically in selling innovative materials or chemical solutions where a high degree of technical validation is required before commercial adoption.
Polymerization Expertise: A hands-on understanding of polymerization processes, plastic chemistry, and material science. You must be able to hold peer-level technical discussions with the engineering and R&D teams of major industry players.
Process Understanding: Ability to analyze and communicate how proprietary materials behave in diverse production environments, and the ability to troubleshoot compatibility issues alongside customer technical teams.
Execution-Oriented: A self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can take ownership of coordinating complex, cross-functional projects.
Commercial Framework Experience: Familiarity with drafting commercial documentation and legal frameworks used within the chemical industry is a big plus.
Language: Fluent in English - other languages are a plus
Permit: Eligible to work in Switzerland and in the EU
